Backend Java Developer – Based in Germany

€100k max per year – 18 months AUG – Remote: 70%
German language skills C1

Role responsibilities

  • Development of sophisticated software solutions based on a cloud-native technology stack.
  • Design and development of microservices and APIs.
  • Automation of tests.
  • Participation in ensuring the security and reliability of the developed systems.
  • Participation in the creation of architectures for enterprise solutions.
  • Support in setting up pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery.

Experience Required:

  • Solid backend focussed development experience with Java, Spring Boot and SQL database systems.
  • Development of REST interfaces.
  • Development of containerised microservices based on Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Software engineering methodologies and agile software development (Scrum, Kanban), test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Experience with system integration in a microservice environment (API management, messaging, IAM, etc.).
  • Confident handling of tools and methods in the development process (e.g. Gitlab, SonarQube, Cucumber, Swagger).
  • Successfully completed studies in computer science or a comparable qualification
  • Strong communication skills
