Technical Program Manager – Digital Accessibility

£400-500 per day (Inside IR35)
3-month rolling contract
Hybrid working: 3 days onsite in London, 2 days remote

The Opportunity

A global technology organisation is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to support a specialist Digital Accessibility team. This is an initial 3-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension.

The successful candidate will lead and coordinate multiple concurrent accessibility projects across web, mobile and software platforms, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accessibility requirements are embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple accessibility-focused projects simultaneously across web, mobile and software development environments.
  • Drive project delivery from initiation through to implementation.
  • Partner with engineering, design, product and business stakeholders to ensure accessibility requirements are incorporated into solutions.
  • Coordinate activities across international teams and stakeholders.
  • Track project risks, dependencies, timelines and deliverables.
  • Influence project teams to adopt accessibility best practices before release.
  • Communicate project status, priorities and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Support a culture of accessibility excellence and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or Project Manager within:
    • Digital products
    • Software development
    • Web technologies
    • Digital Accessibility programmes
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Agile methodologies
    • Waterfall / Hybrid delivery frameworks
    • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience influencing technical and non-technical teams.
  • Comfortable working with geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong organisational, planning and risk management capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Current project management certification such as:
    • PMP
    • CAPM
    • CSM
    • Equivalent recognised qualification
