  • Support in the product development of our B2B Demand Side Platform (DSP) as a User Experience Designer assigned to the product team.
  • Accompanying (ideally also facilitating) the team during product discovery
  • Creating UX concepts (user scenarios, interaction concepts, information architectures) for a complex web application with the goal of a consistent and efficient user experience
  • Creating prototypes (wireframes & high fidelity) in Miro and Figma
  • Creating design briefings in Figma and supporting our developers during implementation
  • Collaboration in (ideally also execution of) user tests
  • Collaboration and with the other B2B US designers and researchers to ensure quality and a comprehensive ussynchronisationer experience

Project goal:

Visual design, coordination and optimisation of an advertising platform for OTTO Advertising, considering the existing B2B design specifications and their expansion based on the specific needs of the product to be created.

Additional info:

  • Complex requirements must be meaningfully filtered and translated into a simple, understandable solution.
  • Ability to use existing design patterns as well as the new and further development of patterns.
  • Concepts must be discussed confidently in English with the sometimes-international development teams.
  • Product development is already underway and there is relatively high implementation pressure, the candidate should be able to quickly become effective in the team.
  • The interface between the marketplace and advertising services is very political. Candidate should be able to deal with people with (quite different) strong opinions.
  • Completed studies with a focus on interaction design, information design, communication design, graphic design or comparable qualification.
  • Several years of professional experience in the field of user experience design for web or software, ideally in an agency, consultancy or for digital platforms.
  • Very good conceptual skills with a focus on complex web applications.

Skills required:

  • Experience with common tools and methods to communicate ideas and concepts convincingly and tangibly (e.g. Figma, Miro).
  • Experience in the enterprise/B2B sector.
  • Basic understanding of the possibilities and limitations of web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
  • Analytical skills and quick comprehension.
  • Pragmatic and independent way of working.
  • Experience in working with agile product teams and in agile methods (e.g. Scrum, Design Thinking etc.).

Please enclose meaningful work samples with your application. More important to us than the quantity is the presentation of the approach to the respective task, e.g. methods used, findings, intermediate steps and decisions made.

Everybody is welcome.
