Test Engineer (M/F/D)

Duration: 18 months AUG contract

German language skills C1

Location: Berlin 80 % remote

Your area of responsibility

  • Manage test planning and execution and formulate and drive the strategy for automated testing
  • Proactively work with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner and assist with traditional hands-on testing as needed
  • Creation of test code/glue code for BDD testing and code for test automation
  • Responsibility for reporting test results as well as maintaining and improving existing test cases and workflow
  • Creating accurate documentation to facilitate the identification and reproduction of bugs and issues
  • Maintaining and improving existing test cases and workflow as well as providing technical support to other teams in the integration of test tools
  • Preparing test data and setting up mocking systems if necessary, performing acceptance tests in the sprint and regression tests at the end of the sprint

Your profile

  • Completed studies in computer science or a comparable field and sound experience in the development and documentation of test cases concerning functionality, API, performance, integration and usability
  • Experience with unit and infrastructure tests in the container and development environment
  • Secure knowledge of microservices tests in complex architectures with CI/CD structure and pipelines, e.g. Gitlab Pipeline/Jenkins as well as basic knowledge of DevOps activities
  • Comprehensive expertise in test automation (front-end and back-end), behaviour-driven testing and frameworks such as Karma, Selenium, Jest, Cypress,
  • Knowledge of programming languages for end-to-end, UI and functional tests (Gherkin)
  • Experience in test management in agile projects (Scrum) as well as with ticket management and documentation tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Practical experience with component, acceptance, integration, load and stress tests, debugging and performance measurements as well as with tools such as Postman or Soap UI
