Our client, an extremely exciting well-funded start-up are looking for a UX Director to join their small team. This company is working to truly bridge the human/machine divide. The successful applicant will help to develop the vision, both physically and digitally, of the founders and the deep learning engineers currently in place.

Responsibilities:

• Wireframing and creating rapid prototypes to help visualise initial vision for the product
• Overseeing the development of products from start to finish to ensure they are in-line with the overall vision and user experience/journey
• Weaving UX best practices and trends in all that you do
• Leave your fingerprints on the design of the product - own this process and in time grow the team around you
• Implement design processes to deliver great products more efficiently as the company grows
• Collaborating with the CPO/Technology Evangelist and Owner on overall product strategy/direction
• Hiring, managing, and mentoring a team of talented product designers when needed

Requirements:

• UI Design, Interaction Design, Leadership/Ownership, UX Design
• Deep knowledge of full user experience design process and ability to contribute at any level
• Willingness and eager to start from scratch on a greenfield project and watch as it grows into a phenomenal global product
• Expertise in responsive web design
• Collaboration with backend engineers working within the big data, AWS and Deep Learning/AI space
• Motivating people outside the UX team to apply user-centred design principles to their work
• Design-thinking process
• Enter projects at any level of definition and drive a successful user experience
• 10+ years of experience in UX design in multiple environments (preferably start-up/greenfield, Media and entertainment, B2B OR B2C)
• A great people person, ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and take charge of the design process with ambiguous briefs in a changing landscape
• Solid experience with product management
