Social Media Supervisor / Social Media Manager required for a high profile Factual Broadcast and Entertainment company, to work as a digital and social expert, focused on managing delivery of social media campaigns across key social platforms for their factual brands/channels. This is to continue to grow reach and engagement with the aim to drive awareness of TV channels, and promoting TV content and other digital properties and publications.
We are looking for someone with approx. 4 years Social Media Management gained in a well known big brand environment, ideally in the Media Entertainment sector. Previous experience and areas of responsibility should include Social Strategy, Paid Media/Budget Management, Reporting and Analysis/Analytics, Content Creation and Distribution
You would be responsible for the effective media planning and management of content across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube for the UK, ensuring content is optimised to generate the best results from an organic and paid perspective. You will need experience in social media analytics as reporting on performance and learning from the numbers is important. Experience of analytics through native tools (Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, YouTube Studio) and third-party software (CMS knowledge). Experience using Social media tools such as SocialBakers or similar.
This is a 5 month maternity cover role (inside ir35).
This is urgent looking for someone to start at 2 weeks notice but ideally asap. The role will be remote working but you must be based in the UK, have the right to work in the UK and ideally be within easy reach of West London.
You would play a part in the briefing of social content and creative approvals and support the Digital Marketing Manager in the development of digital and social strategies for high priority campaigns across UK.
This role has both Regional and UK responsibilities, and will require strategic and creative capabilities, great communication skills (including the ability to write great copy), building of and maintaining relationships, to achieve business objectives.
Experience, skills required
-3+ years Social Media Management experience including (will consider candidates with 4+ years social media coordination experience), with proven history planning, implementing and analysing campaigns
-Experience writing briefs, managing high quality asset creation processes
-Experience of multi-stakeholder management and co-ordination
-Solid Digital and Social Marketing Capabilities and Implementation Skills
-Excellent knowledge of digital and social platforms including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
-Confident reporting performance through native tools (Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, YouTube Studio) and third-party software (CMS knowledge)
-Experience using Social media tools such as SocialBakers or similar
-Strong communication skills (written and verbal English), including confidence presenting
-Ability to build and manage excellent working relationships with key and senior stakeholders, as well as external agencies.
-Strong multi-tasker: highly organised with the ability to manage workloads and multiple projects simultaneously
-Great attention to detail but result rather than process driven.

Areas of Responsibility
Support the development of regional digital and social strategies to increase reach and drive engagement on owned and earned platforms, aligning with key stakeholders.
Contribute to the campaign planning process and timelines of ATL priorities for high profile series, stunts and initiatives across the National Geographic brand.
Execute and optimise social media strategy and campaign strategy for the UK, monitoring performance to adapt to audience behaviour. This includes copy writing responsibility for key social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
Own the UK community management strategy to ensure content engages the audience. Oversee Digital Marketing intern to ensure that guest queries and comments are responded to in a timely manner.
Paid Media/Budget Management
Support the Digital Manager in the use and management of the 'Always On' budget for Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, ensuring the monthly budget is used to support business priorities whilst being reactive to how content performs
Monitor performance of all 'Always On' paid content to ensure assets are delivering efficiently to optimised audiences
Own the relationship with our in-house performance team to implement spend on YouTube, providing video information and metadata to enhance performance
Drive performance on Facebook and Instagram by creating boosted paid ads using Facebook Ads Manager
Ensure effective and efficient budget management including ensuring all payments to external vendors are managed appropriately
Reporting and Analysis
Collaborate with the wider marketing team on Post Campaign Analysis reports, providing a full evaluation of UK campaign performance, and recommendations for future initiatives
Monitor and report on the day-to-day performance of our social platforms, providing insights, context and recommendations to optimise further content planning and creation to achieve KPIs
Ensure the broader teams have the knowledge to be able to understand digital reports
Content Creation and Distribution
Work with Marketing, Creative and Programming to identify and align on key priorities, content themes and trends, to influence content planning and creative production.
Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions, keeping abreast of audience interests and competitor activations to make a valuable contribution
Coordinate our monthly editorial make list, ensuring relevant content is briefed to meet key production deadlines
Feedback and approve day-to-day creative assets to make sure the content and quality meets audience expectations
Lead the content delivery and distribution workflow across the regions, overseeing the Intern to ensure markets receive content to localise in a timely manner
Support the Digital Marketing Manager with Facebook live events, ensuring promotional collateral is planned and briefed to market the event.
Management of relationships with in-house performance and creative teams, as well as agencies where required
Keep abreast of evolving digital landscapes, sharing knowledge and guidance to help further develop the digital expertise of the broader team
Assist in mentoring, motivating and developing Digital Marketing Intern including educating on the digital landscape, digital and social strategies and implementation and preparing presentations.
