Senior UX Researcher - Global Media Company - West London
Initial 3 month contract - £465 per day

We are looking for a Senior UX Researcher to join a global Media and Broadcast company in West London (Chiswick Park). The successful applicant will contribute to the strategy and vision for user experience and design projects across the full range of their platforms. Ensuring products embrace the needs of its audience and the goals of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct and commission quantitive and qualitative research to understand Dplay's international audiences. Analyse results and drive informed design decisions.
  • Lead the validation of the user experience design, ensuring product are useful, usable and engaging by the broadest of Discovery's audiences. Communicating research insights, opportunities and solutions outcomes to senior stakeholders.
  • Define multivariate and A/B testing requirements, implement on product and analyse results.
  • Participate in the ideation process, utilising User Centred Design to identify opportunities and their solutions for responsive web, mobile and connected TVs.
  • Work with the UX&D, Product and Analysts colleagues to turn research findings into product goals and requirements.
  • Work closely with counterparts across Discovery in the UK and overseas to become the source of understanding of Dplay's international audience. Defining data profiles and segmentation for online.
  • Utilise behavioural science to engage Dplay's audience and help them to have a more relevant experience.
  • Define multivariate and A/B testing requirements, implement on product and analyse results.

Experience required:

  • Experience of carrying out research for online media and video on demand products, with a deep understanding of how the audience interacts with these services across responsive web, mobile and connected TVs.
  • Expertise in quantitive and qualitative research techniques to identify the audience's needs and evaluate designs.
  • Experience of the User Centred Design processes. Inputting research outcomes to drive informed design decisions and validating solutions.
  • The ability to research, analyse data and translate user and business requirements into effective OTT solutions.
  • Experienced in the execution of A/B and Multivariate testing and analysing the results.
  • Expert user of a wide range of digital tools to carry out research, validations of designs and the creation of client facing documentation.
  • Experience of applying behavioural science techniques, to help products meet their business goals and user needs.
  • Experience of using research outcomes to define product objectives with product teams.
  • Experience in enterprise level analytics tools.
  • Experience of working in a digital media/broadcast company.
  • Experience of running and facilitating multi-disciplinary research workshops
  • Experience of working with Agile Methodologies.
  • Experience of using research outcomes to define product objectives with product teams.

Qualifications

Educated to university level or equivalent experience in a relevant subject.
