The Role and Opportunity:
This is an exciting new role for a Lead MarTech Solutions Architect / Director Solutions Architecture, to support the UK division, of this successful global marketing business. You'll be joining as they expand the data driven marketing technology solutions within the UK client base. Initially you'll be leading a small team of Junior Architects and consulting with EMEA based clients to design and demonstrate complex marketing technology solutions. That might mean supporting a RFP with you acting as the Subject Matter Expert, pitching ideas and innovating and adapting the best solution for the client. You'll use best practice to ensure the clients' requirements are documented and can be technically translated by development teams and help make sure the right solution is delivered.

The Team:
Sitting within the Engineering function of the business, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring and supporting two junior Architects - helping to develop their skills to take on more work as the client base grows.

You'll also work in partnership with the Sales & Client Services teams for EMEA and liaise with global development teams and product teams.

Your Background:
You have technical clout from your significant experience of working directly with clients in designing and developing marketing technology solutions (eg email marketing/CRMs/loyalty programmes/marketing automation etc.) along with a technical background (Solutions Architecture, with an understanding of best practice software engineering). You will have had some Technical team management experience previously.

Your skills and experience:

Significant experience in designing and developing marketing technology solutions / marketing platforms ideally marketing automation/email marketing

Experience gained in a Senior Architect role, leading or mentoring a small team of more junior less technical architects, able to guide them, review their work, drive best practice

Ability to assess client needs and translate these requirements into efficient and scalable digital marketing solutions

Experienced in delivering automation marketing projects, collaborating with distributed global teams in a matrix organisation and overseeing the project management.

An excellent communicator - for building relationships, managing stakeholders, working with clients and delivery teams - both orally and written and for technical and non technical audiences.

Significant understanding of and experience in best practices around systems integration, security, performance and data management.
