An opportunity for an experienced Audio Engineer with 3-5 years experience in a similar Audio Engineering role with strong core skills in Pro Tools experience, music industry production/recording studio knowledge and experience in a variety of legacy audio formats/equipment.

This role is to join a team to digitise, restore and edit music recording assets from a vast array of legacy media, providing audio transfers to a format for digital archives or Media Asset Management platforms. This would be working for a leading partner to the music industry, supplying technical audio services to record company's and other clients.

The Audio Transfers division is looking for someone with 3-5 years experience in a similar Audio Engineering role with strong core skills in Pro Tools experience, music production/recording studio knowledge and experience in a variety of legacy audio formats/equipment.

This is a permanent role working on site from their West London facility (Safe & Socially distanced of course!)

To be considered for this position you will possess the following attributes:

  • Professional audio studio recording experience including sound mixing.

  • Highly proficient in Pro Tools.

  • Knowledge and experience of all media formats and recording technology and techniques from 1950s to modern day.

  • Highly computer literate in both PC & MAC platforms.

  • Up to date knowledge of active record producers and studios.

  • Ability to prioritise workload and perform well under pressure.

  • Good ear and understanding of music production.

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

  • Logging and tracking of master tapes into various databases and systems.

  • Use of audio software to perform transfers and conversions to the highest standard. These include but are not limited to: Digidesign Pro Tools, Apple Logic, Steinberg Cubase, Steinberg Wavelab, Merging Pyramix.

  • Operation and maintenance of legacy recording systems. These include but are not limited to: ¼", ½" stereo analogue tape machines, 2" 24-Track multitrack analogue tape machines, ½" digital multitrack tape machines, ADAT & DA-88 digital multitrack recorders and radar hard disk recorders.

  • Create hard drive reports of A&R/producer deliveries.

  • Backup client data to LTO.

  • Designing and developing workflows.
