Deluxe Media Technology (DMT) are a wholly owned subsidiary of Deluxe Entertainment Services group, employing 3000 employees worldwide, providing market leading services to broadcasters; studio’s and content owners globally.

DMT was formed in 2012 to develop a suite of innovative business to business software products & services for the media industry. These products are based around the real-time analysis of media assets and the automated generation of associated metadata to provide clients with intelligence about their media.


PCR has been a specialist recruitment consultancy in the Broadcast and Media space since 2006. Based just off Regent Street in London and currently employing 18 full-time staff, the business is organised into the following team structure:

  • PCR Broadcast – (Focused to backend broadcast project, technology and operations people)
  • PCR Digital – (Focused to frontend / consumer facing / multiplatform project and technology people)
  • PCR Europe – (Senior commercial appointments and Executive Search in Sales and Pre Sales for leading broadcast SI’s and Vendors)

DMT’S RESOURCING CHALLENGE

DMT set themselves a challenging goal to bring on board 30-40 talented professionals within two months: to achieve this they would need to create and implement an innovative recruitment solution that provided at least:

  • Access to the best candidate talent pools and networks across the software development lifecycle (i.e. Product Management, Architects, Project Management, Software Development, Test, Operations and Sales)
  • Highly responsive service dovetailed with an intelligent recruitment process to ensure the very best candidates in the market were attracted to the opportunities, and were well presented to the hiring managers
  • Competitive rates, good guarantees and win – win terms, along with single monthly invoicing and clear and structured financial and KPI reporting.

THE SOLUTION

The Solution

Mark Abbott from PCR was appointed Account Director and single point of contact to implement best practice to deliver on the challenge, working very closely with the hiring managers to capture their ideal candidate profiles and engaging second Tier suppliers as required.

  • 3 Best of breed agencies who could demonstrate they had access to the required talent pools and networks were appointed after a tender and presentation process
  • PCR as specialists in broadcast technology people (Software, Projects, Test, Ops and Sales) were appointed as managed service provider
  • Poole and Partners  as specialists in high level executive and media project people
  • Claremont Computing as specialist in mainstream IT and Java development.  
  • A dedicated administrator was also appointed by PCR to administer the cloud based recruitment platform that was implemented to receive CV’s from the agencies, schedule interviews, placements and drive the KPI reporting.
